And More Pictures

The New Family

The Aunties!!!

More Pictures

So cute. They are taking to being mom and dad great.

It's A Girl

Baby Brynna is here. Arriving at 12:27. She weighs 6pds 4oz and 21 inchs long. Mom and Baby are great. Everyone did well. More pictures to follow.

All Systems Are Go

Prepping for the baby.

We are feeling like we have to throw up

All is a go. We are fully dialated. We are all trying to teach Tori how to push. She has breezed through this until now.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Marker fight!! Alycia would not stop shaking her foot it was driving Ging nuts.

Alycia was checking her leg shaving. I am doing a little reading. We are passing the time well.

Ginger is trying to make her 12:00a.m. picture deadline.

Phase 10 game. Tori is feeling no pain. The nurse has come in and done another check. We are at about 8 and she can feel her head. It is now 10:40. We are making good progress. The nurse said much is coming out. We are assuming that is a good thing.

9:30 p.m. Update

This is a little disagreement Ginger and Alycia had. Ginger just found out that her picture and t shirt money where mixed together.
The nice nurse just came in to up the pitocin.

Tori was feeling a little nauseated, Shawn was being very comforting. Yeah Shawn!!!!

Ging found a stethoscope in the drawer. Enough said. I think this picture speaks for itself.

The nurse just came in. She informed Tori she has gas and just did it on her when she moved her. We love this nurse. She could so be part of this family. She is getting ready to check her again. Her contractions are about 2min apart now. One more thing, these drugs are making Tori feel like confessing everything.

What does one do when your waiting for a baby?

Hang out in the hall during any icky parts.
Alycia keeping an eye on things.

Ginger is doing her billing.

Alycia is watching the ambulance come in. There are a lot of emergencies tonight. I am doing the blogging.

Epidural

It was our job to make sure Shawn did not hit the ground.
They asked if Ginger wanted to administer the epidural! She said she had a lot of experience.

This is the nice epidural man. Tori was happy to see him. But keep in mind she is really not in that much pain yet. I think the nurse was just worried to let her go to far along without drugs.

Please notice how far away Shawn moved away from the bed. He was not going to be anywhere around. Every time they come in to do any procedure he moves the chair away from the bed. There are scuff marks already forming on the floor. They just came in to put a catheter in. Shawn thought it went in your arm. He was very wrong. They just checked her she is now 4cm along.

It's Going To Be A Long Night

For the first hurdle of the night it was the IV. Tori did not handle this well. Already a swear word. Tori's nice nurse is a little nervous that if she is freaked about the IV how is she going to handle birth. Also she informed us that many people were happy on the 4th of July. This maternity ward is full. Our scrubs were a big hit with the nursing staff. They were expecting our arrival. All met us at the door. Currently Tori is 3cm dialated and 80% effaced. Her contractions are 3 min apart. Check back in about an hour for further update.

So We Begin

Okay, Tori's water broke at approximately 4:00p.m. central time. So we have gone into baby mode. Tori has asked that all her sisters's be present. So as Sean drives his wife to the hospital, we are packing the delivery bag. Knowing that we would all be together we knew we had to have matching somethings. So Ginger got to work on figuring that out. So with much consideration we settled on matching scrubs. All have our names on them and what # sister. Very comfy for the long hours we are expecting. So stay tuned for the most up to date info. We are finishing dinner and heading to the hospital.

We are happy to report that Ashley has made Varsity Cheerleading. It was very nerve racking. Ashley started a new school this year and was very nervous and did not know many people. Hard to go from a school where everyone know everybody to knowing nobody. There where about 45 girls or more that tried out. So we are now Cheering for the Papillion LaVista South Titans!!! We got started right away, she was kidnapped less than 24 hrs after finding out the results. They took all the new girls to breakfast, and had some bonding time. Then it was off to a parents meeting to find out what was involved. Needless to say cheer will be our life.

Embarassing Moment

Okay today had a very bad moment. Mom and I had to attend a leadership meeting at church. The day has been rainy and thunderstorms. I am sitting in meeting when I think I am hearing sirens go off. I ask the lady next to me "do you hear something?" She thought she had. I tell her I am going to check on it. So mind you I get up from the front row of about 35 people, and go to the outside doors of the church. Sure enough the sirens are going off. I proceed to return to the classroom swing open the door and announce that we need to evacuate to designated tornado shelter. For everyone to line up single file and follow me. No one is moving. Then someone in the room pipes up and says "You are not from around here." Everyone starts to laugh. Apparently the first saturday of the month at 10:00 they check the sirens. I quietly returned to my seat and said nothing the rest of the meeting.

Look Alike

For all you those that think Ashley and I do not look alike. I think this proves you wrong. No way were we getting out in the snow.
